Nerd is a term that has undergone considerable evolution over the years. Initially, the word “nerd” first appeared in Dr. Seuss’ book “If I Ran the Zoo” in 1950. Although the genesis of nerd dates back to the mid-20th century, its meaning has changed significantly. A nerd is a person who is distinguished by a deep interest in specific fields, often related to science and technology. The definition of nerd also includes a social dimension – they are usually introverts who may have difficulty forming relationships with their peers.
